Week Four In Review

A few teams finally notched their first wins of the season. Congrats to Meade Co, North Hardin, Oldham Co, Central, and Bethlehem. Two of the Big Three fell for the first time. The obligatory disclaimer. Male was trounced by Louisville St. X 42-6. And Trinity fell to nationally ranked Cincy St.X 47-31.

Five locals are still unbeaten. St.X, Manual, Eastern, Fern Creek and John Hardin are all 4-0. While Fern Creek and John Hardin don't appear to be challenged in the next few weeks, Manual and St. X square off Friday and Eastern will have a date with Trinity this week.

Lovell Boyd was relieved of his duties at Shawnee after only three games. What a shame. He was a guest on our show before the season began and was very enthusiastic about not only a program around but an entire community as well. Shawnee played well in the summer passing leagues and has a good number of kids out for the team. All over an eigth grader who lives on the wrong street in a county that has open enrollment. Meanwhile an unnamed school with a "tradition unequaled" boasts an all-state running back from Indiana. Well as I've been told. Life isn't fair and certain teams just need to work harder....
