Week Eight In Review

Since the Crimsons were off this week, I decided to take in the game at Fairdale. Coach Miller and his staff were kind enough to be our guests on one of Jimmy and Steve's pre-season webcasts this summer. They are gracious hosts too. The newly renovated stadium looks nice and the seats provide a great view of the action. Speaking of action, this one was the preverbal barn burner! 35-34 coming down to the last play. The days of three yards and a cloud of yawn are long gone. I will not bore my readers with stats. Both teams can put it up and score from anywhere. Trust me. This one had it all. Good luck to both the Dragons and Bulldogs the rest of the way. Another anticipated track meet turned out to be just that. Shelby County got back on the right side of the slate with Alex Mathews and friends putting up more insane numbers. The Rockets beat Eastern 55-37. Fern Creek was pounded by Ryle 55-10. St.Xavier is now the only undefeated team left in Jefferson County and according to the CJ Southern Indiana too.... Another highly regarded team from Louisville-Central was slapped silly. Johnson Central made it look easy against the Jackets. Shawnee snapped a four game skid against Atherton 20-6.
